Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information DNA Card Vault ("we," "us") collects, how we use it, and your choices. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your basic Google profile (name, email, profile photo). We never receive your Google password.
- Profile information you provide — display name, avatar, bio, and preferences.
- Collection data — the cards, sealed products, quantities, conditions, grades, purchase prices, and notes you add.
- Community content — posts, images, likes, and comments you submit.
- Membership data — if you connect Patreon, we receive your membership tier and a Patreon user identifier to verify perks. We do not receive your Patreon password or full payment details.
- Usage and device data — basic logs, device/browser type, and error reports used to keep the Service running and secure.
2. How we use information
- to provide and operate the Service (store your collection, compute estimates, run community and giveaway features);
- to authenticate you and verify membership perks;
- to improve, debug, and secure the Service;
- to communicate with you about your account or important changes.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. How information is shared
- Service providers that power the app — for example Supabase (database, authentication, and storage), Vercel (hosting), and Anthropic (AI features). They process data on our behalf under their own terms.
- Pricing and catalog providers we query to estimate values. We send only the minimum needed (e.g., a card name), not your identity.
- Public community features — content you post, your display name, avatar, and any portfolio you choose to make public are visible to other users. Collections are private by default.
- Legal — if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
4. AI features
Some features (card scanning, market briefs) send relevant data — such as a card photo or card name — to our AI provider to generate a result. This data is used to produce your result and is handled under the provider's terms; we do not use it to publicly identify you.
5. Cookies and storage
We use cookies and similar local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (such as theme and layout). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
6. Data retention and security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the Service. We use reasonable technical safeguards (including database row-level security and encrypted connections) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can view and edit your profile and collection at any time in the app.
- You can delete your account, which removes your personal collection data from active systems; backups may persist for a limited period.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To make a request, contact us below.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
